How to Experience Winslow, Arizona

The Eagles band put Winslow, Arizona on the map with their song, "Take It Easy." The light-hearted anthem gave the town of Winslow an opportunity to be a tourist destination.
If you're "Standin' on the corner in Winslow, Arizona such a fine sight to see is a girl, my Lord, in a flatbed Ford slowin' down to take a look at me," you can take it easy, too.

1. While driving through northern Arizona, take a detour off of Interstate 40 to downtown Winslow.

2. Drive through town until you see the "Standin' on the Corner" Park on the northwest corner of N. 2nd Street and W. Kinsley Avenue.

3. Get into the spirit of things, by playing "Take It Easy."

4. Give in to the temptation and pose with the statue of the guitarist. Everyone who comes to Winslow does.

5. See the "girl...in the flatbed Ford" who has been immortalized in the mural on the wall. With a wink to the band, note the eagle perched on the second floor window.

6. Explore the rest of this charming town which has been revitalized because of the line in the Eagles' tune.
