How to Make a Petting Zoo in Jurassic Park

Based on the Jurassic Park movie, the Jurassic Park Operation Genesis computer game allows a player to create a dinosaur theme park. Dinosaurs are kept in large fenced areas where visitors can watch them through viewing vents or platforms, but the dinosaurs are often hard for the visitors to see. If a visitor leaves without seeing a dinosaur, your park rating can suffer. Let it happen too often and you will struggle to meet your mission goals. Fortunately, there is a simple solution: The Dinosaur Petting Zoo.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Jurassic Park Operation Genesis Computer Game

Step1
Start researching security cameras immediately. Place your digging teams as usual.
Step2
Build an enclosure that is approximately 9 X 9 fence pieces. Place a hatchery in one corner inside the enclosure and a park entrance near the center. Run a path from the entrance that circles the interior of the enclosure, leaving room for buildings. Place a restroom, kiosk, ranger station and cleaners station along the path and don't forget to hire cleaners for the station. Five cleaners should be perfect for the needs of your petting zoo. Add trash cans and benches to suit the needs of your visitors.
Step3
Place an herbivore feeder and build a couple of small lakes within the enclosure.
Step4
Tell the hatchery to make one or more herbivore dinosaurs. Now you are ready to open the park. Set your entrance fee at $500 and raise it by $500 for each half-star rating increase you receive. Soon visitors will arrive and be astonished to see the dinosaurs walking across the path.
Step5
There will be a security concern among the visitors, but by now the security camera should have been researched. Place a few security cameras at intervals along the path. This will calm the visitors and allow them to enjoy the dinosaurs without fear. When you get some extra money, put some paleolithic trees into your enclosure to calm the dinosaurs.
Step6
When you have saved up enough of your profits, build one or more carnivore pens adjacent to your Petting Zoo park. Place viewing platforms within your Petting Zoo so your visitors can see the dangerous dinosaurs safely. Put a hatchery, a small lake, and a carnivore feeder in each carnivore' s pen.
Step7
When you select new dig sites, select sites that have mostly herbivore fossils. The bigger the better, since even the largest herbivore will be docile to humans. If security ever becomes a problem, add more security cameras.

Tips & Warnings

  • Do not release carnivores into the Petting Zoo area with your visitors, or mayhem will result.
