Step1
If a Republican administration does something bad, put it on the front page and keep running articles about it, day after day.
Step2
If a Republican administration does something good like nabbing a terrorist cell, only report it for one day, and bury it in the back of the paper.
Step3
Publish an article that warns terrorists that the United States is monitoring them by tracking their financial transactions.
Step4
Only endorse Democrats for President of the United States, no matter how inept they may be.
Step5
Never review a Bill O'Reilly authored book, no matter how long it is on the best-seller list.
Step6
Only employ liberal Op-Ed columnists.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you're not a journalism major, a die-hard liberal or don't socialize with the right people, odds are slim that you will become The New York Times Executive Editor in the first place.
  • The only way you can lose the job is if it comes to light that one of your reporters was fabricating stories, so stay on top of your fact-checking process.
