How to Make a Chicken-Rotini Pasta Dish

This is an excellent main course sure to please any crowd. It is also quick, easy and inexpensive.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • 1 lb. of rotini or similar type pasta.
  • 1 chicken breast (or 2, depending on your preference)
  • Garlic
  • Olive Oil
  • Vegetable Oil
  • Tomato Sauce
  • Parsley
  • Oregano
  • Crushed Red Pepper
  • Black Pepper
  • Pasta Pot
  • Salt
  • Sauce Pan
  • Skillet

Step1
Boil the water for the pasta. BE SURE to add salt to the water when you begin. When the water comes to a boil add the pasta.

After the pasta has been cooking for about 3 minutes or so begin the chicken. Cut the chicken breast(s) into bite-sized pieces and place them on a skillet. Cook the chicken in Vegetable Oil, add pepper, oregano and a little garlic.

Once the chicken starts to cook begin the sauce. Pour the sauce into the sauce pan. Add Olive Oil to the sauce, this allows the pasta and sauce to blend better. Add some garlic (minced or otherwise), parsley, oregano, crushed red pepper and (optional) some regular pepper.
Step4
Once the chicken is finished drain out some of the excess fat and oil that will have accumulated. Once finished, add the chicken to the sauce. Stir well.
Step5
Once pasta is finished combine the chicken-sauce mix with the pasta. Something you can do is pour a small amount of olive oil over the pasta before pouring the sauce into the pasta pot. Be careful though, we do not want to have too much oil! Stir well!
