Enough of that scary stuff in a can! This holiday make this fruit filled relish that's lower in sugar and a breeze to make!

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • 2 boxes of flavored gelatin (cherry, raspberry, cranberry or a combination)
  • 1 12-oz. bag of fresh cranberries
  • 1 quartered orange, seeded, but leave the peel on
  • 4 medium sized quartered apples, seeded, with skin on or off (preferably Gala or Fiji)
  • 3/4 cup sugar substitute
  • Optional, 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans

How to Make Healthy Cranberry Relish

Step1
In a food processor, roughly dice cranberries, orange and apples. If your food processor is big enough, these can be chopped together, otherwise do it in batches. Set aside in large bowl.
Step2
Make flavored gelatin according to package and add sugar substitute. Mix well.
Step3
Pour gelatin into the bowl with the fruit. Mix well. If you opted to add nuts, stir them in at this time.
Step4
Cover bowl and place in refrigerator for several hours until set. Serve along side your turkey dinner or as a dessert topping!
