This is a great dice game for a group of two or more people. It's relatively simple, takes a decent amount of strategy and can be played for hours of fun!

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate

Things You’ll Need:

  • 2 or more players
  • 7 Dice
  • Scoring Paper and Pen

Step1
Let's start with Scoring: When a player rolls three of the same dice, simply multiply that number by 100 to get the score. For example, 3 sixes equals 600 points, 3 twos equal 200 points.
Step2
Ones equal 100 points, it isn’t necessary to roll 3 ones. However, if a player rolls 3 ones, this equals 1,000 points.
Step3
Fives equal 50 points, unless 3 fives are rolled. In this instance, the player would earn 500 points.
Step4
If a player rolls 4 of a certain number, they earn no more points than if they had rolled 3. For example, 4 sixes is still 600 points.
Step5
How to Play:
Player 1 rolls all seven dice. After the first roll, the player selects the dice to keep and the dice to roll again. For example, if she rolls 3 fours, a five, a one, a two and a three, she would logically have 550 points if she kept the fours, five, and one. She then has the option to roll the remaining two dice to hopefully get more points in the form of fives or ones.
Step6
The player always has the option of rolling dice that might provide them points. For example, if the player in the last example wanted to better her chances of scoring more points, she could keep the fours and roll the rest, even though the one and the five will give her points. By rolling these dice, she has bettered her chances of earning hundreds of more points, because she now has at least 3 dice she’s rolling and therefore is able to roll 3 of one number.
Step7
Once a player picks the dice that they will keep for points, they are not allowed to roll them at any further point in their turn. They are only allowed to roll the dice they have already deemed to roll again.
Step8
If a player continues to roll and does not earn three of a kind, a one, or a five, they lose all their points for that turn.
Step9
At any point during the player’s turn, she may decide to “stay,” which means she is satisfied with the number of points she has and doesn’t want to earn any more as there is a possibility he might lose them all.
Step10
Player 2 can decide to continue Player 1’s roll or start fresh. For example, if Player 1 had rolled 3 fours and decided to stay, Player 2 can decide to roll the remaining four dice. If he rolls a one, five, or three of a kind, those points are added to the 400 that Player 1 earned and Player 2 can decide to keep rolling or stay.
Step11
This game is usually played to 10,000 points, however, players can decide how many points they’d like to play to, depending on how long they want to play.
