How to Wash Dishes in a Kenmore Detached Dishwasher

Do you have a Kenmore detached dishwasher? Here are some instructions and tips for use.

Things You'll Need:

  • Dishwasher Detergent
  1. Step 1

    Load dishes in dish washer. The plates on bottom, cups on top and silverware in the attached silverware compartments. Do not place dishes over one another.

  2. Step 2

    Fill up both wash dispensers with the detergent for a heavy load. For a smaller load just fill up one.

  3. Step 3

    Turn on sink have water run until it turns hot. Then turn it back off.

  4. Step 4

    Take sink adapter and press down on the top and then snap it onto water faucet.

  5. Step 5

    When adapter is secure turn hot water back on.

  6. Step 6

    Plug electric cord into socket.

  7. Step 7

    On front of machine select settings that you need. Then turn on. For a pots and pan load it will take about 30 minutes and for a light load it will take about 20 minutes.

  8. Step 8

    After dishes are done you can unload and put dishes away.

on 10/2/2008 That point about turning the hot water on first is so crucial to the "make it or break it" result for those type of dishwashers! Also, adaptors can be sometimes faulty if worn o rings and seals are not replaced - some simple remedy's to maintain the correct water pressure in those systems....Thanks, again!
