How to Make Shrimp and Garlic Pasta

This light, tasty recipe is easy to make but sure to impress.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate

Things You’ll Need:

  • 1/2 lb. shrimp, cleaned (deveined and without casing)
  • 2 cloves garlic, dice
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 3 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 pound spaghetti, cooked

Step1
In large frying pan, heat oil over medium heat.
Step2
Add garlic. Toast until slightly brown and aromatic.
Step3
Add butter.
Step4
When melted, add shrimp. Cook 1 minute, stirring. Turn shrimp. Cook 2 minutes or until opaque and pinkish-white.
Step5
Reduce heat and add some spaghetti, stirring until well mixed. Toss with remaining spaghetti.

Tips & Warnings

  • Be vigilant of garlic--if it begins to darken, reduce heat.
  • Shrimp cooks very fast. Do not overcook--it will become rubbery and tough.
