How to Blow a Bubble Off Your Tongue

Most people can blow a bubble with gum. But how many of us can do it without gum? Legend has it Groucho Marx is the only person to ever have captured on film the act of blowing a bubble off one's tongue.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging

Step1
First, understand that this takes a lot of practice, and even then, not everyone can do it. Relax and don't try too hard, or it will never happen.
Step2
Do not drink water right before attempting this trick. Over-hydrating will not help.
Step3
Use the tip of your tongue to touch the space underneath your tongue, just along the bottom of the gum line. This is where your spit bubble will come from.
Step4
Gently scoop a bubble off the "floor" of your mouth, leaving it on the tip of your tongue.
Step5
Extend the tip of your tongue just slightly out of your mouth.
Step6
Gently blow, so your mouth slowly forms an "O," as if you were whistling. At this point, the bubble should float off your tongue.
Step7
Keep practicing!

Tips & Warnings

  • For some reason, not everyone appreciates the art of the spit bubble. Refrain from sharing your talent at work or your place of worship.
