How to Make a Colorful Seven-Layer Salad

This seven-layer salad is a big hit at all family events and gatherings.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 head lettuce chopped
  • 2 medium bell peppers chopped
  • 1 bundle green onions (5 to 6)
  • 5 celery stalks chopped
  • 1 can peas
  • 1 jar bacon bits
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 large bowl with lid
  1. Step 1

    Take your chopped lettuce and place in bottom of bowl. Spread out so that it is even.

  2. Step 2

    Layer peppers over lettuce evenly.

  3. Step 3

    Layer celery evenly over peppers.

  4. Step 4

    Add green onion layer over green peppers. Make sure to spread out so that it is even.

  5. Step 5

    Open can of peas. Drain them and then add whole can of peas as a layer over green peppers.

  6. Step 6

    Take package of shredded cheese and add on top of peas.

  7. Step 7

    Top cheese with bacon bits.

  8. Step 8

    In separate container mix mayonnaise and sugar together mixing until sugar is dissolved.

  9. Step 9

    Take mayonnaise mixture and pour on top of bacon bits. Using a spoon spread evenly over the top of bacon bits making it the last layer.

  10. Step 10

    Refrigerate until ready to serve and then toss well.
