It's easy to hide your taskbar!

Certain programs require that you hide your taskbar for the program to be viewed better. Or perhaps you just like the streamlined look of your desktop without a taskbar showing. Auto-hide your taskbar to gain more screen space, and to get the taskbar to reappear, just move your cursor to the bottom of the screen.

Instructions

      Right-click any blank area of your taskbar. Click on "Properties."

      In the "Taskbar and Start Menu Properties" dialog box that comes up, make sure you are on the "Taskbar" tab.

      Select "Auto-hide the taskbar" by clicking on the box next to the option.

      Click "Apply" and then click "OK."

    • 5

      Your taskbar will now only appear when you point to it with your mouse.

Tips & Warnings

  • Uncheck "Auto-hide the taskbar" and your taskbar will show up again and stay put.
