Caribbean-flavored chicken is spicy and well-seasoned. In other words, it's very tasty. Here's how to perfect it and make it all your own.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate

Things You’ll Need:

  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 3 tablespoons curru powder
  • 1 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon of seasoning salt
  • 1 teaspoon of cayenne pepper
  • 1 tablespoon of basil
  • 1 tablespoon of garlic powder
  • 4 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1 small sliced onion
  • 2 large peeled potatoes cut into small squares
  • Half cup of water
  • Bowl
  • Frying pan

Step1
Rinse chicken in salted water.
Step2
Mix 1 of the 3 tablespoons of curry powder with the other seasonings in a small bowl.
Step3
Season the chicken.
Step4
Heat oil in the frying pan, then let it cool for 2 minutes before adding the remaining 2 tablespoons of curry powder.
Step5
Stir curry powder until it is golden brown. This will take about 10 to 15 seconds. Try not to burn it. This will be your gravy.
Step6
Add the chicken breasts to the frying pan and cook for about 3 minutes on each side.
Step7
Pour one-fourth cup of water into the frying pan and cover with a lid. Allow it all to cook for about 10 minutes on low heat.
Step8
Pour the remaining one-fourth cup of water into the frying pan and let it cook for another 15 minutes.
Step9
Place the sliced onion and potatoes into the pan and allow it to cook for 20 more minutes with the lid on.
