Sure, getting romantic in a hot tub may seem easy enough to some but there’s a fine line between romance and sleaze and you don’t want to come off as the latter. Get your significant other’s heart pounding requires a little pre-planning to make it a lot more special.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Scenic hot tub
  • Loving companion
  • Champagne
  • Boombox
  • Plastic champagne flutes
  • Swimsuit
  • Towels
  • An unusual yet romantic album
  • Wine opener (optional)
  • Candles and lighter
  • Cooler with ice
  1. Step 1

Find the right hot tub. You don’t need to own one, though that helps. For the most romantic views and best locations you may want to consider hot tub rentals, which certain locations do by the hour.

  2. Step 2

Prepare the drinks. Put the champagne into a small cooler with ice, and slide an opener in there for good measure. If there’s room, you might as well tuck the plastic flutes in the cooler--it will keep everything handy and it won’t break.

  3. Step 3

Pack a bag. Throw in towels, a boombox and that special romantic album. Doo-wop, rocksteady reggae and old soul albums are generally great choices, but you know your special someone the best—choose something compatible.

  4. Step 4

    Put your suits on.

  5. Step 5

Bring your loved one to the hot tub and ease yourselves in. The best time to do this is just before sunset, allowing the evening to cool you off and the candles to do their magic.

  6. Step 6

Let the romance begin. Put that CD in the player and make sure it’s on repeat. Pop the champagne and pour some glasses. Relax together and get close. When darkness begins to fall light those candles.
