How to Keep Kids Germ Free

Children are known for spreading germs everywhere. They often go throughout their day touching all sorts of things before getting around to washing their hands. Germs can be found on door knobs, tables and toys. A few simple rules can help stop the spread of germs.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging

Step1
Wash your hands often. This is the most common and most effective advice around. Just use soap and warm water. Scrub your hands for at least 20 seconds (have smaller children sing "Row, row, row Your Boat," or "Happy Birthday" while washing).
Step2
Stay home when you are sick. This can be a hard one for parents with certain jobs, but it really is the best policy for stopping the spread of germ.
Step3
Cough or sneeze into a tissue or the inside of your elbow. Forget the old advice about covering coughs and sneezes with your hand. That just spreads germs everywhere.
