Casino gambling can be very fun and exhilarating, but casino gambling could also be a financial nightmare. It is very important to know how to budget your money when you gamble. You can easily create a workable budget plan, which will eliminate any financial problems from ever happening. Once you have your budget details worked out, you are ready to hit the casino. You can gamble the day and night away, without a care in the world.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Understand the game, before you wager any money in it. It does not matter if you plan on playing Texas Hold 'em poker, blackjack, slots, keno, craps or any other casino game; you should know the basic rules of the game first.

  2. Step 2

Set a money limit. All money that you want to gamble with must not be needed for any thing else. You should always gamble with a set amount and not go over that amount. Everyone plans on winning, but you should also be ready to lose all of your gambling money.

  3. Step 3

Restrict access to your money. You may not think you need to do this, but it is better to be “safe than sorry”, as the old saying goes. It is advised that you only bring the total amount of money that you will need with you when you are gambling.

  4. Step 4

Gamble within your limit. This will depend on the amount of money you have, or what type of casino gambling you plan on participating in; however, you should know all of this in advance of your trip to the casino. You should not get involved in any form of casino game that you do not have the total amount needed to play. Always play within your means. If your budget is small, play in lower limit games. If you want to play higher limit games, bring enough money with you.

Tips & Warnings
  • If you are uncomfortable playing any type of casino game, practice at home with friends or online first.
  • Leave all of your credit and debit cards at home when you go out to the casino to gamble.
  • Do not bring your checkbook with you to the casino.
  • When figuring your casino budget, don’t forget to include money needed for food, drinks, tipping or other expenses.
  • Once you have your casino gambling budget set, relax and have fun!
  • Never gamble with money that you cannot afford to lose.
  • If you don’t understand the rules of the game, ask for assistance. Your gambling could quickly become a very costly lesson if you don’t.
  • Never borrow money when you are gambling.
  • Creating the casino gambling budget is the easy part--sticking to it is the hard part (and also the most important one).
