We've all had that situation, where one of our friends is friends with another person that we really just do not like. There is such thing as tact and we must learn how to use it.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

When in that person's presence, smile as much as possible. Even if you may want to vomit, or say a catty remark, it is important to remember that this is your friend's friend.

  2. Step 2

If at all possible, avoid small talk with that person.

  3. Step 3

When at dinner parties, or in the same room as a person make sure that you always have someone around you as a buffer. This way if you need someone to help you escape from a conversation, they can come in and take your place.
