How to Make Potpourri Satchets

Put these in your drawers to add a fresh scent to your dresser drawers and clothes. Research on the Internet for complimentary scents that fit you and your personality.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Breathable fabric that the pattern of your choice
  • Handful or your favorite fragrant herbs and dried flowers, uncrushed
  • Essential oils, for extra scent (optional)
  • Needle and thread
  1. Step 1

    Cut the fabric into 4-inch x 4-inch squares. Carefully sew the bottoms and sides shut, leaving one side open.

  2. Step 2

    If you are using essential oils, using a separate bowl, mix in a couple of drops into the dried herbs and flowers.

  3. Step 3

    Fill the sewn pouches with the flower and herb mixture. Sew the bag shut. Put finished sachet in your drawer and let it do its work.

Tips & Warnings
  • You can also buy pre-mixed potpourri that you can fill your satchels with from places like Yankee Candle, Bed Bath & Beyond, or Gracious Home.
