1. Visit the Federal Student Aid website. I have put the link at the bottom of this page.
2. Gather required documents you may need information from such as drivers license, past tax documents, etc. The website gives a checklist of items you will need to complete the form for financial aid.
3. Begin filling in all the information you are asked to give. Fill everything out truthfully.
4. Either apply for a pin so that you can electronically sign your application or print, sign and mail it to the appropriate address.
5. It typically takes a couple of weeks to receive any information about your aid, but you can check on the status of your application at any time.
