How to Add a Graphic in Joomla!

These steps will walk you through adding a graphic to your website using the Joomla! Content Management interface.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • A website created with Joomla! Content Management
  • A login id and password with appropriate privileges
  1. Step 1

    Login to the Joomla! site.

  2. Step 2

    Click on the Content Item Manager.

  3. Step 3

    Click on the title of the content to which you want to add a graphic.

  4. Step 4

    Click in the text box at the location where you want the graphic to be displayed.

  5. Step 5

    Click the "Add Image" button just below the text box. The system will automatically add the {mosimage} tag to your text.

  6. Step 6

    In the right pane click on the Images tab.

  7. Step 7

    In the Gallery Images list click on the file name of the graphic you want to display. Then click the >> button to move it to the Content Images list.

  8. Step 8

    In the "Edit the image selected" section type the appropriate values for each field. You do not have to change the default values.

  9. Step 9

    Click the "Apply" button at the bottom of the Images tab.

  10. Step 10

    Click Save at the top right of the Joomla! window.

Tips & Warnings
  • If you have more than one graphic displayed in a content item, the graphics will display in the order they are listed in the Content Images list.
