Silly Putty is a great toy, but it can get stuck in carpet and hair. Try this:

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Ice
  • Case Knife
  1. Step 1

Take a ice tray or several cubes of ice and place into a watertight plastic bag.

  2. Step 2

Place the bagged ice over the putty and let stand for a few minutes.

  3. Step 3

The putty should become brittle and easily break off. For stubborn pieces, scrape gently with the case (butter) knife to lift the putty but leave your carpet intact.

Tips & Warnings
  • If the putty will not come away easily, you may have to cut the stubborn piece out with nail scissors or use drycleaning fluid.
