If you have finished your movie and are ready to create a DVD, a great program to use is Adobe Encore. The first thing you will need for your DVD is a menu. Once you have started a project and a menu with text, you will need to convert your text to buttons.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Computer
  • Adobe Encore
  • Digitized Movie File

Step1
Open the Adobe Encore program and open the project you are working on, by going to "File," "Open." Go to "Window," and "Menu" to open the "Menu Editor Window."
Step2
Click on the selection tool in the toolbox. It looks like an arrow. Use the selection tool to select the text you have created in the menu. Press control to select multiple text buttons.
Step3
Go to "Object," then "Convert to Buttons." Their appearance will not change with in the menu until you add additional effects, such as subpictures, but their names will change in the "Layers" palette.
Step4
Save your work.
