Are you broke until payday with no way of entertaining yourself until then but have a Macbook or Powerbook? It’s easy to entertain yourself for cheap or even for free until you can afford to go out again.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Apple laptop
  • Internet connection
  1. Step 1

Fire up the iTunes. Check out how many free and entertaining podcasts are available. You can watch movie trailers for free on iTunes and can even download the free single of the week each Tuesday.

  2. Step 2

Work out with your Mac. It’s free entertainment that will make you look better when you can afford to go out again. Know that iTunes is full of fitness podcasts about yoga, weight-training, running, pilates, and more.

  3. Step 3

Watch TV or DVDs. The major TV networks put all their shows online now and your Mac will let you play DVDs—or create them.

  4. Step 4

Get in touch with family far away via your webcam. This is a great time to teach mom and dad back in the Midwest how to set up a webcam so they can “see” you online. Sometimes teaching the older generation how to webcam with you is the ultimate form of entertainment.

  5. Step 5

This is the perfect time to back up all your data. Back things up to an online disk or external hard drive. Take time to burn your important files onto CDs and DVDs and then store them in a safe place.

  6. Step 6

Organize yourself. Though it may not sound very entertaining, organizing your contacts, to do list and calendars will make you more productive. Then you’ll have extra time to spend doing the fun stuff you want to do. Or earning some extra money so you’re not broke until payday ever again.
