- Bookends
- Small items for decoration.

Step 1
Ikea bookshelf.Find a cheap bookshelf.

WallpaperPrep that boring bookshelf. Paint or wallpaper the interior with bright colors or funky patterns.

Step 3
Organize books by size and color.

Step 4
Find bookends at local flea markets, and be creative. If its heavy enough to support your books, you can use it.

Step 5
Place objects in the center or at the end of each shelf. Alternate placing books into shelf horizontally and vertically.

Step 6
If you have any random piles of wires, nails, or screws laying around on your old bookshelf, just place place these in a pretty vase on top of the bookshelf.
