Step1

There are plenty of things you can do to make your New Year's special. About a month beforehand, place a suggestion box on your counter and when friends come over, ask them to suggest something to do for New Year's. Sometimes the best ideas can be extracted from funny ideas.

Step2

Host a wine tasting. Hike up a great Mountain and roast smores when the ball drops in NYC. Rent a hotel suite and have a party (you won't have to clean up!). Dress up your home to resemble NYC or Vegas. Play 20 questions.

Step3

The best thing you can do is just be yourself and have fun. Having fun doesn't have to involve lots of money, just your imagination and friends! Enjoy! :)

If anything, have a bottle of champagne and cupcake with a candle on it, a mini celebration, if you will :)
