Here's how to separate the yolk from the egg white!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • small bowl
  • egg
  1. Step 1

    Find a small bowl or dish.

  2. Step 2

    Carefully crack and open the egg OVER the small bowl while keeping the contents of the egg yolk inside one half of the shell.

  3. Step 3

    Make sure to keep the yolk intact.

  4. Step 4

    Transfer the yolk back and forth between the two shell halves, while the egg white drips into the bowl.

on 4/11/2008 Very helpful - when I was in home ec (like 15 years ago) I think we were taught just crack the egg over your hand and hold the egg yolk - gross! Talk about bacteria, yuck. I have seen a little device to use but I doubt its worth it, your method is great.
