Yahoo! 360 web address: http://groups.yahoo.com/
Yahoo ID and Password
Step1
After first discussing details with a core group of students, use your computer and the Internet to find the Yahoo! Groups homepage at the web address: http://groups.yahoo.com/
Read the homepage articles and browse the groups. Then press the "Start Your Group" hyperlink in the first column of the Yahoo! Groups homepage.
Step2
Type in your Yahoo ID and Password if you are asked to Sign In. If you have not registered for Yahoo yet click onto the "Sign Up" hyperlink and follow all instructions then sign in
Step3
Find and click on the category "Schools and Education" at the bottom of the web page. Then on the "Browse Groups about Schools and Education" page search for and click on a more specific group definition (Ex. Colleges and Universities).
Step4
Search for and click on the hyperlink that will start your group page. Then complete step 1 by verifying your group category then pressing the "Place my group here" button.
Step5
Give your group a name, choose an email name and type out the definition of your group to complete step 2. Then press the "Continue" button.
Step6
Select the Yahoo! profile and the email address you as the moderator want to use if you have more than one. Then the security verification at the bottom of the page to complete step 3. Then press the "Continue" button.
Step7
Verify your information, then you may choose to customize the profile of the students in your study group. You can also begin inviting people here but it might be best to wait until you have completed the design of your "Group Page". Answer all preference questions then press "Go to Group" button.
Step8
Use the menu on the left column to add all photos, files, links, calendars and polls. You can promote your study group on some of your websites by pressing the "Promote" button. Or just press the "Invite" button and begin sending emails and inviting others to join your group. Then study hard. Remember, you can do what you can dream!
