How to Make an Easy Beef Stew in a Slow Cooker

A slow cooker is the key to this hearty stew.

The slow cooker does most of the work for a beef stew recipe. It takes about 30 minutes to put the ingredients together, and no more than 12 hours for the cooker to finish the stew.

Things You'll Need

• 2 lbs. cubed stew meat
• 1/4 cup of flour
• 1 tsp. salt and pepper
• 1 1/2 cups of beef broth
• 1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
• 1 chopped onion
• 1 bay leaf
• 1 tbsp. paprika
• 4 sliced carrots
• 3 diced potatoes
• 1 stalk of celery, diced

Instructions

1. Load the stew meat into the slow cooker. Coat the meat with a mix of flour, salt and pepper.

2. Add the remaining ingredients and stir it into the mix.

3. Cover and cook on low for 10 to 12 hours, or on high for 4 to 6 hours.

4. Stir well and serve with warm rolls.
