Want to make a color photo collage of your favorite picture?

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Program Paint Shop Pro xi
  • A digital picture
  1. Step 1

    Open the photo that you want to use in Paint Shop Pro.

  2. Step 2
     

    Go to file/new to open a new project Width: 600 Height: 800

  3. Step 3

    Go back to your original picture and copy the image.

  4. Step 4

    In your new blank project go to Edit/Paste as new layer.

  5. Step 5

    You are done with the original picture so you can close it now.

  6. Step 6
     

    Select the Pick tool and shrink and move the picture to where you want it leaving room for as many pictures as you like.

  7. Step 7
     

    With the picture still selected copy the image to size that you want it.

  8. Step 8

    Now edit/paste as new layer and with the pick tool still selected move the image to where you want it.

  9. Step 9

    Repeat step eight until you have as many pictures as you like.

  10. Step 10
     

    Use the crop tool to crop the excess area around the edges.

  11. Step 11

    Select one of the layers.

  12. Step 12
     

    Go to effects/convert to Black and White and click ok.

  13. Step 13

    Repeat steps eleven and twelve until all the pictures are black and white.

  14. Step 14
     

    Pick a layer and go to effects/browse effects choose color/Red/Green/Blue and choose a color.

  15. Step 15

    You can modify the colors and play with the level of Red Green and Blue until you have the color you like.

  16. Step 16

    Repeat steps fourteen and fifteen until all the pictures are colored.

  17. Step 17
     

    Now you must merge the layers before you can save it, go to layers/merge/merge all (flatten).

  18. Step 18

    Now you can save. If you want to edit it more later you can save as .pspimage or you can save as .jpg if you do not want to edit it later.

Tips & Warnings
  • If you want to edit this image at a later date remember to save in the Paint Shop Pro format .pspimage
