After enjoying a Yankee candle or any other candle in a jar, it seems almost impossible to scrape the leftover wax out. Try this simple solution and you'll have your jar free of wax in no time!

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Step1
After the candle has burned out, you want to get the wax out so you can reuse the jar.
Step2
Place the jar (without the lid) into your freezer.
Step3
Wait 15 minutes to an hour (depending on how much wax there is).
Step4
After taking the jar out, flip it upside down on a counter or by a trash can so the wax will fall out. If the opening of the jar is too small for the wax to fall out, cut the wax with a butter knife into smaller chunks.
Step5
Wash the jar and WA-LA! You've got yourself a nice sort-of-new jar!

Tips & Warnings

  • Be careful when using a butterknife!
