Things You'll Need:

Step 1
For the base of your note card, choose a plain piece of craft paper. You'll want it to be of heavier stock than printer paper. Fold and/or cut this into any size you would like your card to be. I like to make mine square for purely personal aesthetic reasons.

Step 2
Write your message on the inside of the card. Once you start applying things to the outside, it can become a bear to write neatly on the inside, so it's best to do this beforehand!

Step 3

The best way to make the patterned paper look good together is for there to be either a common color/color palette or a common theme like Valentine's Day. If you keep the shape of the pieces of paper the same, with perhaps varying sizes, you will create a common element to the note card. This will make the card look neater and more professional and less like a five year old threw it together in art class.

Step 4
