A darkslide is essentially grinding with your board upside-down on a rail or curb. It is a lot easier to do than it looks but still requires a good level of skill to perform.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging

Step1
Perfect the Ollie and boardslide before trying this trick. Both of the skills will be absolutely necessary perform the darkslide.
Step2
To begin, ride up to the rail or curb. You will need a good amount of speed to grind the rail.
Step3
Ollie and do a half-kickflip, or half-heelflip up onto the object; flip the board upside-down underneath you. You will be landing on an upside-down board so prepare to land with your feet on the trucks.
Step4
When you feel ready to dismount, you will need to ollie on the upside down board to flip it back over. It's a good idea to practice this on the ground before grinding the rail.
Step5
Show off to your friends (you might want to make sure you get it right every time first or they will just laugh).

Tips & Warnings

  • Wear protective gear.
