Ever want all the sweet, tasty goodness of a cannoli without the soggy shell? This cannoli dip is a great alternative. Scoop it into waffle cones, spread it over fresh fruit slices — it's heavenly paired with strawberries — or even serve it as a straight-up dip with cinnamon-and-sugar pita chips.
Things You'll Need
- 8 oz. soft cream cheese
- 1 stick unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup confectioner's sugar
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 3/4 cup chopped pecans
- 3/4 cup mini-size semisweet chocolate morsels
Combine one 8-oz. package of soft cream cheese and one stick of softened unsalted butter.
Add 3/4 cup confectioner's sugar, then cream the mixture.
Add 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract and mix.
Add 3/4 cup chocolate morsels and mix well.
Shape into a ball, cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least two hours.
One hour before serving, roll the cannoli ball in 3/4 cup chopped pecans.
