We've all dreamt of being the life of the party, but few of us have ever actually found ourselves with the full attention of everyone in a room. Spinning a couch pillow on your finger is a little trick that will help you inch toward that goal, even if it doesn't win you standing ovations or a women's hearts.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Fluffy throw pillow from a couch. Preferably about 12" by 12" in size and perhaps a 2 inches thick. The best kind of spinning pillow has a button or crease in the middle.

    How to Spin a Pillow

  1. Step 1

Stand up. Hold the pillow in one hand and with the other hand stick up your index finger directly in front of you.

  2. Step 2

Place the middle of the pillow on top of index finger and steady the pillow with the other hand.

  3. Step 3

Rotate the edge of the pillow with the stabilizing hand as if you were spinning a basketball

  4. Step 4

Slowly, in very small concentric circles, move the index finger under the pillow in the same direction as the spin.

  5. Step 5

With enough inertia the pillow should be spinning on your outstretched index finger. Drop other hand to your side. Perhaps take a drink or eat something with lose hand and all of your friends will be amazed, or at least moderately impressed.

Tips & Warnings
  • Linen and down pillows work best.
  • Do not spin pillows near glass or other people as it could fly out of control and break something or spill someone's food or drink.
