Things You'll Need:
- Resin kit
- Resin Dye
- Glitter
- Chocolate Candy Molds
- Power Drill
- Ornament Hooks
- Old Newspapers
- 16th Inch Drill Bit
-
Step 1
Spread out some old newspaper on your work surface. This will catch any resin you accidentally spill.
-
Step 2
Lay your chocolate mold sheets out on the flat protected surface. Your work surface must be level.
-
Step 3
Combine the two bottles of liquid in your resin kit. Most kits usually provide a third large bottle for this. You can use any plastic container to combine them.
-
Step 4
Pour the resin dye in the combined liquids if you are coloring your resin Christmas ornaments.
-
Step 5
Pour in about ΒΌ cup of glitter into the resin mix. Stir the resin, dye, and glitter together until combined. All ingredients need to be combined to activate the two solutions.
-
Step 6
Pour the resin mixture into the waiting candy molds as quickly as possible. The resin mixture will begin to activate once combined.
-
Step 7
Fill the molds evenly until the resin is level at the top of each mold. Tap the molds to knock out any air bubbles and refill as needed.
-
Step 8
Let the resin sit and dry. For most resin kits this will take a few hours.
-
Step 9
Pop the dried resin Christmas ornaments out of the candy molds.
-
Step 10
Drill holes through the top of each resin Christmas ornament with a 16th inch drill bit. Run the hole through the front of the ornament and out the back.
