The Nintendo Wii is a fun and interactive video gaming machine. It is one vide game machine in which you can actually play the game standing up and moving around, not sitting on the sofa, like a couch potato. Does that mean that you might loose weight playing some of the Wii games such as their popular Sports game? Yes, you can. But like any program it will take dedication and lots of work. Here are some steps some people used to loose some weight playing the Wii.

  • A nintendo Wii
  • Games such as Sports

How to Loose Weight Playing Nintendo Wii

Step1
Find some games that you like. A lot of people choose the Sports game because it features Tennis, Baseball, Bowling (doesn’t burn many calories but can be a nice warm up) and Boxing.

Play the games for a while and learn the basic moves.
Step2
Set up a schedule that you can keep. Decide how often and how long you intend on playing these games. Write this schedule down on paper and mark off each time you actually participate. You might want to also start keeping a weekly chart of your weight. (to see if it actually goes down any)
Step3
Set up a Wii player that will be your player just for exercising. Just follow the directions on screen or in the book. It is easy to do.
Step4
Begin each session (each game play) by first doing some normal stretching.
Step5
Start with the easiest of Wii games first. This allows your muscles a chance to get used to the game playing moves.
Step6
After you feel warmed up, you may move on to a more moderate level game. (Tennis or Baseball is good examples).
Step7
Now you should be warmed up and you can move on to a more challenging game (a good one is boxing, but be sure to do some arm and shoulder stretches first).
Step8
Slow down a bit with a moderate level game (Tennis or baseball).
Step9
If you still have a bit of energy, play another slow game (bowling?).
Step10
Finally, finish your session with some more basic stretches.
Step11
Repeat from three to five times a week. Chart your progress and see if you actually loose any weight.

Tips & Warnings

  • Keep a schedule of when you want to do this new exercise routine and mark off when you accomplish this goal. You might also want to make a notation of how long you want each session to last.
  • Remember it will take a bit of time before you see any results. The only way to loose weight over night is with surgery.
  • If you have any health issues, you may want to speak to your doctor before begin this or any exercise program.
