Cabbage-carrot cole slaw is a great side dish that can be served for lunch or dinner. Cabbage-carrot slaw is made with fresh green cabbage and crisp orange carrots which adds color to any meal. Cabbage is a good source of fiber and vitamin C and carrots are a good source of vitamin A. Read on to learn more.

Things You’ll Need:

  • 1 fresh head of cabbage
  • 4 carrots
  • 1 1/2 cups mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp. mustard
  • 1 tbsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. lemon juice

Cabbage-Carrot Cole Slaw

Step1
Wash and clean cabbage and carrots.
Step2
Remove tops and stems of carrots. Peel carrots. Cut and core cabbage.
Step3
Grate cabbage and carrots with a grater. Put into a large bowl.
Step4
Mix together mayonnaise, mustard, sugar and lemon juice in a small bowl. Add to cabbage and carrots. Mix well.
Step5
Chill cabbage-carrot cole slaw before serving.
