1
Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Cut the core from the bottom of the cabbage and place the whole head of cabbage in the boiling water. As the cabbage becomes partially cooked, it will loosen from the rest of the head. Periodically flip the head of cabbage so that it can cook on all sides. As each cabbage leaf becomes tender, remove it from the boiling water and place on a plate. When you have completed this task, remove the remaining cabbage from the water and set aside.

Place 2 pounds of hamburger, diced onion, two eggs and 1 cup of rice in a large mixing bowl. Take the leftover cabbage that is too small to use and dice some into the meat mixture, saving the rest of the diced cabbage for later. Mix the meat mixture thoroughly.

Take your plate of cabbage leafs and your bowl of meat mixture and begin to place the meat mixture on to the cabbage leaf toward the bottom of the leaf. You want to place enough of the meat mixture onto the leaf -- you want the meat to look like a baseball or small loaf -- fold each side of the cabbage leaf over the meat and roll the bottom of the leaf over and over until the meat is completely encased. Place in a roasting pan.
