Dress for the cold mountain air, especially at night. Stay warm and in fashion with down “puffy” ski/snowboard jackets and dark jeans with thermal underwear hidden underneath.

  3. Step 3

After the excitement, head to downtown Aspen by bus or car. Once there, check out X Games-related events ranging from outdoor concerts to live music at bars in town. Club-hop wearing the latest ski/snowboard gear designs that mix downhill function with late-night leisure.

  4. Step 4

Wear boots and shoes that look hot in the club but also keep the toes warm while standing in the snow. Ladies, heels will be tough to pull off at the X Games, so think practical yet pretty. Guys, avoid loafers and any other metrosexual-type shoe. Frozen toes are so not sexy.

  5. Step 5

Always bring gloves and a hat to the Winter X Games. And maybe even a sweet scarf to stay warm.

Tips & Warnings
  • Think about the Rocky Mountain weather when choosing what to wear.
  • Be prepared for snow at any time.
  • Check out ski/snowboard outfitters in Aspen and Snowmass for the latest alpine sports fashions.
  • Don’t under-dress. Dress in layers instead.
  • Avoid heels and shoes without traction. You don’t want people remembering you for falling down instead of looking good, do you?
