How to Make Cream of Mushroom Soup

If you love cream of mushroom soup you should try making your own. This recipe is very easy and it will become a favorite soup recipe that you go back time and again.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1/2 pounds of fresh mushrooms
  • 3 cups of whole milk
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • 1 tablespoon of flour
  • Salt and pepper
  1. Step 1

    Cook the stems and peeling of the mushrooms in one cup of water for 15 minutes.

  2. Step 2

    Strain your mushroom liquor and set liquid aside.

  3. Step 3

    Put butter and chopped mushrooms in a frying pan and cook slowly for ten minutes. Stir occasionally.

  4. Step 4

    Add flour and blend it in with the mushrooms.

  5. Step 5

    Add mushroom liquor, milk and seasoning.

  6. Step 6

    As you are serving your soup, add a teaspoon of whipped cream to each bowl.
