How tall are you? It’s a question almost everyone knows the answer to, but did you know that you can get an accurate measure of your height without measuring your whole body?

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Tape measure

Step1
Stand up and lengthen each arm straight out to your sides, like you are making the letter "T". Extend your hands and fingers straight out too.
Step2
Have the other person measure the distance across yourself, from the tip of your middle finger on one hand to the tip of your middle finger on the other.
Step3
If you like, compare this measurement with the more traditional method of measuring your height. For most of us, it’s the same.

Tips & Warnings

  • This method of measurement is more accurate if the person is an adult or is not growing taller anymore.
