Many children often learn how to play an instrument by playing a simple wooden or plastic recorder, but did you know that you can play this instrument without using your mouth? Its true. It works just as well to play the recorder with your nose.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Wooden or plastic recorder

Step1
Hold the recorder's mouth piece in front of your face. Instead of placing the mouthpiece in your mouth, hold it up to one of your nostrils.
Step2
Blow into the mouth piece through your nose and listen to the beautiful tones.
Step3
Use the same fingering on the instrument you would if you were blowing into the recorder with your mouth.

Tips & Warnings

  • Make sure you clean the mouthpiece thoroughly before letting anyone else use it.
