Pregnancy can cause a great deal of stress to a woman. Hormones go crazy causing mood swings, you worry about your changing body, and nearly everything causes you to worry about the baby. It is vital to relax as much as possible during these months.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Bubble bath or bath salts
  • massage oils
  • books
  1. Step 1

Read a book that you would love to read. Try to make this book about you and not the baby, so no baby books! Just spend some time reading each day.

  2. Step 2

Take a bubble bath. Choose your favorite scent and light a few candles. Turn on soft music and just relax. If you don't want bubbles, you can always use bath salts or oils.

  3. Step 3

Get a massage. You can have a professional massage, or ask your partner. Use oils for best results and create the mood with dim lighting and aroma therapy.

  4. Step 4

Start a hobby or use one you already have. Hobbies have a way of relaxing us as we truly focus on the enjoyment of it.

  5. Step 5

Take a weekend vacation. If you can manage it, take a few days and go on vacation. Visit places you love, or try some new destination. Focus on enjoying yourself and relaxing.

Tips & Warnings
  • Ask for company if you feel silly relaxing alone. Take your partner on a mini weekend and focus on building that relationship even more.
  • Be careful with candles!
  • If you use aroma therapy, make sure the scents are appropriate for pregnant women, some may cause premature contractions.
