Things You'll Need:
- card stock in the following colors: Very Vanilla, Sage Shadow, and Purely Pomegranate
- Watermark stamp pad
- Background stamp that looks like snowflakes
- paper cutter (optional)
- Ruler (if you aren't using a paper cutter)
- scissors
- Stamp pads in the colors Sage Shadow and More Mustard
- glue
- 2-way glue (optional)
- bone folder for the crease in the card (optional)
- stampin glitter
- ticket corner punch
- Season of Joy Stampin Up! stamp set (Christmas tree, star, "Merry Christmas" stamp)
-
Step 1
Cut a 5.5-inch by 8.5-inch of Sage Shadow card stock. A paper cutter is preferable to scissors for smoother edges.
-
Step 2
Cut the Purely Pomegranate paper. You will need one 2.5-inch by 3.5-inch piece, and one piece that is 1 1/8 inches by 2 1/8 inches.
-
Step 3
Paper cut into correct sizesCut the Very Vanilla paper. You will need one piece that is 1 inch by 2 inches and one piece that 2 1/8 by 3 1/8 inches. You will use some left over Very Vanilla when you stamp the Christmas tree and the star.
-
Step 4
Fold the piece of Sage Shadow paper lengthwise. Use the bone folder to make a sharp crease.
-
Step 5
Stamp the Sage Shadow paper using the background stamp and watermark stamp pad on what will be the front of the card.
-
Step 6
Use the More Mustard stamp pad to stamp "Merry Christmas" on the 1-inch by 2-inch piece (the smallest piece) of Very Vanilla paper.
-
Step 7
Punch the corners of each of the pieces of Purely Pomegranate and Very Vanilla paper using the ticket corner punch.
-
Step 8
Use the Sage Shadow stamp pad to stamp the Christmas tree on some of the leftover Very Vanilla card stock (not one of the pieces you cut out).
-
Step 9
Stamp the star on more leftover Very Vanilla paper, using the More Mustard Stamp pad and the "hand stamped" star stamp.
-
Step 10
Now you want to put glitter on the tree and the star. You may want to use 2-way glue for this, because the glitter seems to stick to it better than regular glue. Put a coating of glue over the top of the tree and star, and then sprinkle glitter on them.
-
Step 11
Cut out the tree and star. When you cut out the tree, you will want to omit the star at the top, since you are using the bigger star for the top of the tree. When you cut out the star, omit the words "hand-stamped."
-
Step 12
Glue the tree and the star to the larger piece of Very Vanilla paper. Then glue this onto the larger piece of Purely Pomegranate paper.
-
Step 13
Glue the smaller piece of Very Vanilla card stock, on which you stamped "Merry Christmas" onto the corresponding Purely Pomegranate piece. You should now have two pieces--one with the Christmas tree and star, and one with the words "Merry Christmas"--to glue onto the the front of the card.
-
Step 14
Glue these two pieces onto the front of the card and you're finished!
