Things You'll Need:
- Cards
-
Step 1
Ace of SpadesYou win the game by setting a goal of 500 points. If you are playing a longer game then just increase the point numbers or vice versa for a short game. You will need to deal 17 cards to each player and toss out any remaining cards. If you like using jokers as the trumps then you would be dealing 18 to each player.
-
Step 2
You will be starting on the dealers left. Have that person name a number as the bet and then the players have to win that number of tricks. You can ad different ideas to the game such as all your bets cannot be more than 15 tricks, that way it keeps everyone from making their bet the same.
-
Step 3
To start the player who has the 2 of clubs must lead for the first trick. Sometimes there will not be no two of clubs so you go to the three of clubs instead. If the next player doesn't have a club they can either take it by playing any spade or not and play any other suit. So, now the player who wins a trick leads the next play. The next player must play the suit or if they can't take a spade or refuse with a nonspade. If you get to the point where no one has a card of the suit led and everyone plays the spade then the highest spade wins.
-
Step 4
The goal is to win more tricks than you bet. You gain 10 points. If you get less tricks than you bet, then you lose 10 times the amount of tricks.
-
Step 5
Ace of SpadesYou might want to add bonus, too. Like if you have a run of tricks add 10 points or if you take the last trick add 10 points. Use only spades to make it more challenging. Ending with an Ace of Spades would be very good and should be awarded extra points. Add other bonus, too, just like in a regular game of Spades.
