The common house plant has been proven to be decorative yet cleansing for the body. Let me explain, NASA along with the Associated Landscape Contractors of America have found that certain house plants clean the air from toxins (such as Formaldehyde, Benzene and common monoxide)

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Bamboo palm, chinese evergreen, english ivy, gerber daisy
  • Janet craig, marginata, corn plant, mums
  • peace lily, Warneckii
  1. Step 1

Most indoor plants require little water and are better off to dry between watering.

  2. Step 2

If the tip of the leaves are yellow the plant is telling you that it's too wet. If the tip of the leaves are brown, then it's telling you that it's dry. Some plants do fairly well in low light if you don't over water. Over water leads to root rot which will kill a plant.

  3. Step 3

be careful not to over water and it's okay to let the plant dry out between watering and watch for yellow tips or brown tips because that's a sure sign something' s up with the plant. Also, give the plant some light (indirect or direct) don't leave a plant in total darkness and continue to water, you will kill it.

  4. Step 4

Follow those steps, which are simple. Just remember not to over water and let it dry out between watering, give it some kind of light - depending on what kind you have- some plants do fairly well in indirect light and others do well in direct light. It all depends on the plant.
Keep the plant moist and it should work for you to clean your air of any impurities to keep you healthier

Tips & Warnings
  • I water my plants maybe every two weeks. I just watch and see if it needs any water. You will definitely know if the plant needs water or if it needs to be dried out.
