You didn't stick it under all those desks, but you're still banned from chewing gum in class. If you just have to have your Bubble Yum fix, here's how to chew without getting caught.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Choose a gum without a strong smell. Don't chew anything too minty or too fruity. Smell is generally the first giveaway.

  2. Step 2

Sit near the middle of the classroom. Too close is too obvious, and too far back is too suspicious.

  3. Step 3

Remain silent. If you're talking in class, you're drawing attention to your open mouth. We can all see your gum wad.

  4. Step 4

Chew quietly. If you're a gum snapper, snap out of it.

  5. Step 5

Try to disguise your chewing by biting on your fingernails or a pen cap. Create a front of fake filthy habits, and no one will know about your true filthy habit.

on 7/5/2008 It's pretty hard for my students to get away with things like this. Especially since I walk around the room and know many of the tricks they'll pull.
