on 12/8/2007 I believe you could use rum instead of red wine, but you’ll no longer obtain the glögg. And I’m not sure the spices would match the rum, but there’s only one way to find out. If you are allergic to sulfite, you can always buy organic red wine, which is sulfite free. You may find it at your local organic stores. In this way you’ll enjoy my special seasonal recipe.

on 12/8/2007 Could I use rum rather than red wine, do you think? (I'm allergic to the sulphides in wine). I do love my hot buttered rum on the first snow of the season....and your recipe sounds so delicious!
