Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Learn the rules of Texas Hold'em. You can find an eHow article describing them in the Related Articles section.

  2. Step 2

Be patient. This is especially important in Limit Hold'em, because you need to make more successful decisions that your opponents if you want to win more often. you have to be consistently better than your opponents since you can't knock people out in a single hand.

  3. Step 3

Be aggressive. If you have a strong hand, bet the maximum. Reckless players may play most anything if the limit at your table is low, and they will occasionally get lucky, but you will more often than them in the long run.

Tips & Warnings
  • Limit Texas Hold'em is basically a game of math. Trickery is not nearly as useful as it is in No-Limit Texas Hold'em. Just make decisions that give you the best odds of winning.
  • Constantly reevaluate the strength of your hand after every new card is dealt. It stinks to realize you have to throw away chips you bet earlier in the hand, but it's better than stubbornly throwing away more.

on 12/8/2007 Thanks for the tips. Hold em or fold em, no shark here just the average player but I love to see the others hold nothing and try to keep a straight face. Priceless!
