Make Microwave Fudge

Mmmm, fudge... But I'll assume you are here for one of three reasons; 1) You love making fudge and are looking for one more recipe, 2) You've never made fudge, but you want to, or 3) You've attempted traditional fudge and ended up with fudge soup.
In any case, this recipe is one that you and your family is sure to love.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 3 cups Sugar
  • 3/4 cups Butter
  • 5 ounces Evaporated Milk
  • 12 ounces Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
  • 10 ounces Marshmellow Cream
  • 1 cup Chopped Nuts (Optional)
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla
  1. Step 1

Gather all of your ingredients. You will need 3 cups of sugar, ¾ cups butter, 5 ounces evaporated milk, 12 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips, 10 ounces marshmallow cream, 1 cup chopped nuts, if you wish, and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (imitation or real)

  2. Step 2

Combine sugar, butter, and evaporated milk in a large glass bowl. Cover with plastic wrap when it is completely combined.

  3. Step 3

Microwave bowl on high for medium/high for 10 minutes. Stir, and microwave for another 5 to 8 minutes. You will know when it is done when you can take a small bit of it and drop it into a bowl of cold water, and a small ball forms.

  4. Step 4

Stir in chocolate chips until they all melt. Fold in the reminder of your ingredients (cream, nuts, and vanilla). Mix very well.

  5. Step 5

Pour into a buttered or greased 13x9 inch pan. Chill.

Tips & Warnings
  • Depending on what brand of cream you use, you may find that even after being chilled, if the fudge is left out for a little bit, it becomes soft. Re-chill it, and serve from there.
  • Fudge is an art form. Microwave fudge is much easier than the traditional method, but it will take some work to make your perfect batch of fudge that you, personally, adore. Play with the recipe, add different types of chips in it, use a dash of mint, or small dried strawberry pieces.
