Things You'll Need:

  • Computer
  • Internet Access
  • Ad Tracking Capacity

    How to Monitor Marketing Mistakes

  1. Step 1

Track the exact amount of money you make from pay-per-click (PPC)
by individual precise words. Your original keyword list will contain losers. You need to identify where they are and get rid of them. E-commerce solutions, like 1ShoppingCart, include a free ad tracking
tool. Web Analytics tools like ClickTracks, Hitbox and WebTrends
can track revenue by keyword from PPC as well as from search engine
    optimization.

  2. Step 2
    Write for profit

Website and blog publishers are receptive to content from industry experts. Be sure you get a byline. The byline is biographical information about the author. It generally includes your name and title. Promote a call to action in the byline, if possible.

  3. Step 3

The Diffusion Group forecasts that podcasting will explode to 56.8 million users in the near future. A podcast is a file that is distributed over the Internet. Your future prospects listen to these files on a computer or portable media player such an iPod.

Accessing the world of podcasting can be as simple as approaching an Internet radio talk show host. Pitch your story for an interview slot. You can check out wsRadio.com as your first target. Frequently your radio interview is turned into an audio podcast which can net you brand new customers.

  4. Step 4

A landing page is the web page your visitors arrive at once they click your online ad or text link. It is generally not the home page, but a specially tailored product page. Make and test small changes to the text, graphics, and layout design of your landing page to reap profits.
